Our first annual dance-a-thon is a fun and fit activity for most ages.  No prior dance experience is required.  Participants’ level of participation is based on age, experience, development and ability.  We desire for everyone to have a great time while raising awareness for a great cause.  Please ensure that you participate to the level of your ability.

Our goal is to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. We’re hoping to make this dance-a-thon a great success, so the more contributions you raise, the more successful we will be at achieving that goal. Thank you very much for your participation!

EVENT RULES

1.     Participants may start collecting donations as soon as they receive the donation form. Reminder: Donation forms need to be turned in with donations on dance-a-thon day, Sunday, November 8th.

2.     Donations may be made by anyone. Please ask everyone who donates if their company has a matching gift fund policy.  If someone makes a cash donation, make sure that you find out if they need a receipt.  If the donor needs a receipt, check the appropriate box and make sure to get their full name and address so that we can mail the receipt after the event.

3.     Record each sponsor making a donation by providing their name and dollar amount. Please collect the donation prior to the dance-a-thon event date and notate the form with a check in the appropriate box once collected.

4.     On dance-a-thon day, each participant will dance during the time period of their choice. Each dance instruction session will last 30 minutes.  There will be three instructor led dance sessions beginning at 2:30, another at 3:00 and the last one at 3:30.

5.     Participants may choose to dance during one, two or three sessions.  Each session will begin on the half hour with a brief pause and light warm up between each session.

6.     Registration will begin at 1:30.  During registration, if you have not done so, you will complete the Registration and Release Forms prior to participation.  As well, a representative will be available to collect donations.

7.     If you would like to participate in the dance sessions but choose not to collect donations, a suggested giving amount for participation in the dance-a-thon is $10 per 30 minute session.  Of course, no gift is too small and we appreciate your participation as well as your donation.

8.     Suggested attire for this event would be comfortable clothes and comfortable shoes – much like what one would wear when taking a dance or exercise class.
